Migraine care is multidisciplinary, and our role is the component medication does not reach: the neck, posture and muscle tension that trigger or amplify attacks.

What is migraine?

Migraine is a neurological condition with episodes of pulsating, typically one-sided, moderate-to-severe pain, worse with activity, often with nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. Diagnosis and medication belong with a neurologist. What research also shows: cervical dysfunction and trigger points are common in migraine patients and can act as triggers or amplifiers.

Where we can help

The musculoskeletal component: neck tension preceding attacks, trigger points in the trapezius and suboccipitals sustaining pain, forward-head posture, jaw clenching and TMJ tension — plus cervicogenic headache, often confused with or overlapping migraine.

Common triggers

Stress and the sudden relaxation after it, irregular sleep, long screen hours with a flexed neck, dehydration, certain foods and hormonal changes. A trigger diary remains one of the most useful tools — we help you structure one.

What does the evidence say?

Manual therapy and exercise do not “cure” migraine — but in patients with a significant neck component they can reduce attack frequency and intensity and improve response to medical treatment. We promise exactly as much as the evidence supports.

How we work at Medicine Park

We assess your cervical spine, muscles and postural patterns, differentiate migraine from cervicogenic headache, and build the plan: cervical manual therapy, dry needling, postural exercise, screen and sleep hygiene — alongside your neurological treatment, never instead of it. All in English.

How long until results?

Patients with a significant cervical component typically notice fewer episodes within 4–8 weeks. Progress is measured with your attack diary.

When to seek help

If migraines come with neck tension, start from the neck area, or painkillers have become routine — the assessment is worth doing. A sudden thunderclap headache, fever or new neurological symptoms are a medical emergency.

Frequent migraines?
